SL No. 3. Financial help to the poor meritorious students
In July “16” we paid college admission fees to the following students who come from very poor families but are meritorious and have scored very well in Higher Secondary Exams:
Tapas Das, Jalpaiguri – He has taken admission in Ananda Chandra College with English Hons.
Tapan Das, Barjora – He has taken admission in Barjora College with English Hons.
Sarthak Laha, Katwa – He has taken admission in Belur Ramakrishna Mission College with History Hons.
Akash Bharadwaj, Barjora – He has taken admission in Barjora College with Physics Hons.
Subhadeep Dawn, Barjora – He has taken admission in Christian College with English Hons.
Total disbursement towards admission fees is Rs. 15,526/-
SL No. 4. Health check-up for the children of Ashiyana
On 5th August 2016, Bansdroni Hridhi organized a health check-up for the children of Ashiyana with the help of Dr. Krishnendu Jana, General Physician at PG Hospital followed by Fruit Distribution to the Orphan Children who have undergone for Health Checkup.
SL No.5. Medical support to financially weaker patients (Chitralekha Halder)
Bansdroni Hridhi arranged funds to the tune of Rs. 1,17,600/- to help 3-1/2-year-old Chitralekha Haldar who was suffering from Beta Thalassemia Major and needs to undergo bone marrow transplant. She has been checked by doctors from Tata Medical Centre, New Town, Kolkata as well as Dharamshila Hospital, New Delhi, and both have advised for bone marrow transplant. The estimated cost is approx. Rs. 25-30 lakh. Her father, Mr. Chandan Haldar was a teacher in Howrah Vivekananda Institution, Shibpur and they have resided at Bhandarhati in Hooghly.
On 12th September 2016, we handed over our collection of the fund to Mr. Chandan Haldar. Chitralekha has undergone a bone marrow transplant at Dharamshila Hospital and she had recovered.
SL No. 7. Medical support to financially weaker patients (Snigdha Das)
Bansdroni Hridhi generated funds for 8 years old Snigdha Das, D/o Pankaj Das of Vill. Kashipara, P.O. Malatipur, Dist. Malda, who was suffering from Lymphoblastic Leukemia (BFM90) and admitted to Saroj Gupta Cancer Hospital. Very unfortunately, on 11.01.17, she succumbed to her fatal disease and left for her heavenly body. However, we arranged an ambulance to carry her mortal remains from Saroj Gupta Cancer Hospital, Thakurpukur to her home in Malda.
SL No. 9. Distributed new Saress, Kurta & Pajamaas (Dhakuria Park)
On 19th March 2017, distributed new Saress for woman & Kurta – Pajamaas for man worth Rs. 10000/- (approx) as well as old clothes and sweets to the 80 Nos Slum + Street dwellers around Dhakuria Park, Kolkata.
