The Oldphanage: A Home of Hope

At Bansdroni Hridhi, one of our most heartfelt dreams is to establish an Oldphanage by 2026—a unique initiative combining an old age home and an orphanage within two separate homes on the same premises.

Located at Kamra, Tetulia Village, South 24 Parganas, the Oldphanage is under construction and aims to create a loving, homely environment where elders and orphaned children support and enrich each other’s lives. Elders find joy and renewed purpose, while children receive nurturing care and guidance.

This project reflects our vision of a compassionate world where no one feels alone, and every generation thrives through connection and care.

Our Mission
At Bansdroni Hridhi, we are dedicated to transforming lives by uplifting children, the elderly, and marginalized communities through education, empowerment, and compassionate care.
Our key objectives include:
  • Education for All: Promoting literacy and learning through schools, libraries, computer centers, and adult education programs.
  • Cultural & Spiritual Enrichment: Fostering music, arts, and holistic development alongside academic growth.
  • Welfare Initiatives: Providing food, clothing, shelter, and education to underprivileged children, the elderly, and the sick.
  • Health & Awareness: Offering free medical aid, running awareness campaigns on diseases like cancer, HIV/AIDS, TB, and supporting blood donation and ambulance services.
  • Environment & Livelihood: Encouraging green initiatives and promoting self-reliance through SHG-based livelihood programs.
  • Disaster Relief: Providing swift support during natural calamities such as floods, cyclones, and droughts.
  • Care for the Vulnerable: Establishing orphanages and old-age homes to offer safe shelter and support without profit motives.
  • Community Support: Assisting during life events like marriages and funerals for those in need.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Publishing educational materials and newsletters to spread awareness and inspire change.

Our Vision

At Bansdroni Hridhi, we dream of a compassionate space where the elderly and orphaned children coexist with love and dignity. Our Oldphanage, a first-of-its-kind initiative combining an old age home and an orphanage on the same premises (in separate homes), is under construction at Kamra, Tetulia Village, South 24 Parganas.

This unique model fosters emotional bonds across generations—elders find joy and purpose in the company of children, while children gain care, wisdom, and a sense of family.
